the 52 episode serial HINITHUNVELAASHEY KALAA from renowned director ABDUL FATTHAAH was premiered on July 26th. this serial will be shown on every WEDNESDAY night at 2300 hours and the repeat on FRIDAY night at 2330 hours.

 

most of the viewers enjoyed the first episode and felt the serial a breath of fresh air.  i recieved only few comments and that was over the scene between HAJJA and her dad at the fields. some felt the dialogues there a bit unreal. however others ejoyed the same scene. many professionals working in dhivehi film industry commended the effort FATTHAAH has put on this serial. also kudos went to the storyline and the dialogues. well in case y’all reading didn’t know, i wrote the teleplay. HO! HO! HO!

 

episode 2 was aired last night. everyone declared this episode being much superior than the first. episode 2 digs deeper in to FAZU’s character played by AFEE. she gives a wonderful performance as the lonely teacher who only seeks happiness from her childhood memories and her childhood friend INAA played with confidence by HAJJA. the scenes between them are very natural.

 

watch out for episode 3. the serial gets better with each episode…

episode 13 which was the serial finale of KURMEY VADHAA’EE SALAAM was aired last week. the serial wrapped up in all too melodramatic fashion but told in few flashbacks at the climax. the serial had its followers complaining that the story needs to be lengthened to few more episodes. but what can i do… i was told to write 13 serials, not a serial less or more!

the writer’s block prevails. am lost for ideas. despite all these setbacks, episode 2 of THIYA LOABEEGA will be wrapped up today. this episode centers around where the first episode left off, which is the picnic scene. then there’s this something in this island lurking around the 3 girls. guess that is enough detail i have revealed. better control myself.

 

i still haven’t a clue why am unable to find my kick for this serial. hope this writer’s block doesn’t lurk inside my brain for too long. 

52 episodes serial HINITHUNVELAASHEY KALAA has been scheduled at 2300 hrs on WEDNESDAY NIGHT and repeat at 2330 hrs on FRIDAY NIGHT.

post production of the first episode of HINITHUNVELAASHEY KALAA which is scheduled to be aired on TVM on 26th july has been near completion. sometime today, episode 1 will be completed. director FATTHAAH is aiming to hand over 4 more episodes before 26th july.

 

the first episode looks awesome with all the dubbing, natural sound and music score. composer THITTHI has done a good job with the music. full credit goes to editor SEMI and rest of the cast and crew, especially director FATTHAAH for translating what i have written visually.

 

am excited to hear comments on episode 1.  

despite the mysterious writer’s block of late, last thursday i have finished writing episode 1 of serial THIYA LOABEEGA. the episode ends in an eerie note with a point-of-view of someone watching the unsuspecting campers. am not allowed to give more details.

 

i have handed the script to serial director SEEZAN for comments. i will usually wait for his comments before proceeding with the rest of the episodes, however i am going to start on second episode today. hope i still don’t have that writer’s block i was talking about which was mysterious!

presently i feel that am having a writer’s block. am unable to proceed with the 13 episodes serial THIYA LOABEEGA for actor-director, SEEZAN. i find myself struggling to get over the first scene of episode one and its been like that for days now, which is totally uncharacteristic of me who on any given day writes an episode a day. what has happened to me? have i lost my mojo? these are questions that pop on to my mind lately. but nothing doing. if am on this streak for too long, i am gonna be in trouble since i have to submit all 13 episodes by 5th August.

 

final editing of 4 episodes of soon to be premiered serial HINITHUVELAASHEY KALAA have been completed. dubbing will begin today and composing music is already underway. the serial is scheduled for 26th July. am more than satisfied with the work of entire cast and crew. am hoping that this serial will capture the hearts of the audience. i really need a break!

 

 

after struggling to develop the story, still i haven’t completely, writing of 13 episode serial THIYA LOABEEGA to be directed by Seezan has started today. the difficulty in constructing this serial is due to the limitation i have to construct the story the way i want. the producers has given me a criteria to follow. as a writer i totally hate that! but i took this project as a challenge. how much can i write with limitations?  i hope i can finish this on time before shooting starts on 5th of next nonth.

editing of HINITHUNVELAASHEY KALAA began three days ago and have so far edited the rough cut of the first three episodes. i must say that those episodes have lived up to my expectation and even more with regards to the locations. Ha. Kelai absolutely looks breathtaking and director Fatthaah has used the location to the maximum. as for the performances, i was nervouse about the character played by Hajja. surprisingly, she has nailed her role completely! she will be praised for her cast-against-type role. kudos also go to the girl who played young Hajja. she is a stunner!

 

the spine of the story is the friendship between Hajja and Afee. both gives an admirable performance and their friendship is clearly visible from their acting. so does in the flashback scenes of them in their childhood. totally awesome! 

 

this serial is scheduled to start on July 26th. the trailer will be aired soon, hopefully.
