i will be writing actor-director SEEZAN’s new 13 episodes serial that he will be producing for TVM. the shooting is set for mid-august. am currently developing the story and have sat with SEEZAN. he has given green light on the subject. i can’t say much of the story but i can reveal this much. it’s going to be other-worldly!  

MOVIE PEOPLE has commissioned me to write part 2 of their successful short film CIB: MISSION 24. part 2 will have SEEZAN reprising his AGENT JINAAH role. part 2 will have AGENT JINAAH… am not allowed to continue, sorry!

after a week of waiting for BINMAA to rewrite the first act of his screenplay, yesterday he has returned the screenplay, unfortunately without rewriting. when i called him he said that its better that either SHAREEF or i do the rewriting. cool, its okay for me. the screenplay needs a complete rewrite anyway.

episode 10 of KURAMEY VADHAA’EE SALAAM was not aired last night. that time slot was taken by the ongoing WORLDCUP fever.

am recieving all positive comments about episode 9 of KURAMEY VADHAA’EE SALAAM. great! just the thing i needed.

 

in episode nine, ZUHURAA is secretly meeting JIMMY who has returned to MALE’. at the same time, ZUHURA is seeing all good qualities in MANIK to whom she’s forced to marry. JIMMY has developed a strong jealousy towards ZUHURAA and MANIK upon seeing them laughing while having dinner in an open air restaurant.

 

also, the grudge between ZUHURAA and MANIK’s sister played by HAJJA is revealed. more comic scenes exchanged between HAJJA and SAEED. and the episode finishes with a blast when MANIK calls ZUHURA while she walks up to her secret lover at artificial beach.

 

the only two negative comments i recieved was this serial being too hindi. wait, i think i have heard this comment before. anyways, the second comment being, well this is actually not a comment but a distaste the person who commented has for MANIK. this person doesn’t like MANIK at all. was that my fault? or call this bad casting? 

i have listened to the trial theme song of HINITHUNVELAASHEY KALAA composed by musician THITTHI. the music really relates to entire mood of the serial. also, the lyrics sums up everything that happens in the serial. good work. 

fatthaah and his cast and crew went to Ha. Baarah today to shoot the historical recreation scenes that take place in episode 31 and 32 respectively. fatthaah wanted to use the exact locations that were described in MOHAMED THAKURUFAANU story. expect a modern twist to a real account or shall i say HISTORY REPEATS ITSELF?

 

fatthaah went back to Kelai last week.

episode 9 of KURAMEY VADHAA’EE SALAAM was aired last night despite the world cup 2006 fever which could be a detrimental factor for the faithful audience of this serial. episode 9 was aired near the  final five minutes of the second match played between MEXICO and IRAN. 

 

at the time of writing this, i haven’t recieved any comments to this serial. 

B/W Productions has been officially dissolved yesterday. head of creative department, MOHAMED SHAREEF and i had a meeting yesterday at Graphix Cafe to talk over future plans and what can be done with tentative projects planned by the B/W Productions. the latter said projects will be proposed to already established studios. the future plans are that we first work on IBRAHIM WAHEED BINMAA’s story which is undergoing a new act one and a two respectively rewritten by IBRAHIM WAHEED himself.

 

yesterday’s meeting went from 1600 hrs to 1730 hrs. 

short lived B/W Productions is to be dissolved without having produced anything under its belt. this decision was made at a board meeting held at Central Hotel Terrace last night. four out of five boad members voted in favor of dissoving the company due to unforseen circumstances.
