FILMEE UDHARES, MNBC ONE’s weekly program made exclusively for local film industry, aired a 30 second trailer of upcoming SAZAA (PUNISHMENT) scheduled to release on March 29, 2011. Just as the trailer finished, film’s director HUSSAIN MUNAVVARU started receiving several SMS which completely flooded and froze other operations of his NOKIA. He received a record breaking five thousand SMS in space of 83.33 minutes. Once receiving of these SMS subsided, Bank of Maldives called him inquiring about several mysterious transactions flooding in to his account. Even before he opened selling tickets of SAZAA, he has sold out 8 shows. This could go down in to history of any global record books.

I know, I know, some cynics may murmur, ‘duh, in his dreams!’ But you know what? For once, they couldn’t be more right than they know. It was one of the craziest dreams MUNAVVARU had on the New Year’s eve. Guess not a bad way to start 2011 or any New Year for that matter. And it was the craziest joke I heard to start this year.
